Little Explorers Preschool

Little Explorers is an Ofsted registered preschool held in Rustington Youth Centre which is conveniently located within The Woodlands Centre. We are registered for 26 children between the ages of two and five years and are open Monday to Friday from 9.30am-12.30pm, term time only. We provide all children attending Little Explorers with an opportunity to develop their confidence and independence and learn through play.

We deliver quality care and education in a secure and friendly environment where well-planned play is recognised as a key way in which young children can learn with enjoyment and challenge.

Little Explorers offers a range of activities including painting, craft, sand/water play, role-play, small world toys , graphics, maths area, book corner, jigsaw puzzles and more. We also offer extended preparation and support for children transitioning to school. Weather permitting we make maximum use of our outdoor play area and apparatus including bikes,  scooters, slides and climbing frames.

Little Explorers offers a key worker support system for your child through which their development is guided and monitored in individual Learning Journals. We welcome parents/carers participation in their child's development and offer Learning Journal meetings where observations are  shared.

We have five members of staff at Little Explorers and four hold Level 3 qualifications in Children’s Care, Learning and Development, four hold paediatric first aid certificates, all hold Prevent Duty certificates and all staff hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Child Protection.
